Soldier for Christ is a Catholic Confirmation formation program that clearly explains the sacrament while unlocking student's firm determination to live the Faith.
onfirmation Candidates deserve to fully understand what they are asking of the Church. When a person seeks Baptism, whether an infant or an adult, the proper rubric starts with asking what the Candidate seeks. This does not happen with Confirmation for a variety of reasons. This places the burden of asking upon the Teacher during preparation.
A well-conceived preparation program helps the Teacher do this. It will make clear exactly to the Candidate what Confirmation is and make clear the Candidate’s commitment to living as a Soldier of Christ.
Class attendance, excited conversation in group activities, or a frequently raised hand when questions are asked are not indications of commitment. Neither are answering some questions after watching a video or even taking a couple tests.
Soldier of Christ was designed to expand and deepen both the understanding and commitment of Candidates by causing them to frequently push themselves a little more than they might like. That is what God does. Why should we do anything less for our Candidates?
